JOB TITLE: INTERNET ADVERTISING SALES TRAINER

Borrell Associates is seeking an experienced interactive sales trainer to assist our clients with growing Interactive revenue at local Web sites throughout the country. We plan to double this business and need someone to help us grow it.

We are a research and consulting firm that tracks local ad spending, for any given market, across 11 forms of media (online, newspapers, direct mail, cable, radio, etc.) and helps media companies develop executive strategies for their online initiatives. It produces industry-related reports, offers revenue benchmarking, gives presentations to companies and trade associations, conducts online-sales training and Webinars, and provides executive-level consulting services.

A candidate must have a successful Internet advertising sales track record with local media. Strong presentation skills and a minimum of 5 years experience in the field of online advertising is a must. Experience as an actual Interactive advertising sales trainer is a plus. The successful candidate will also be asked to sell the programs and research data and be able to surpass sales goals set forth by the company. This position requires extensive travel. The successful candidate must be able to travel 30 to 35 weeks out of the year.

GENERAL DUTIES:

1) Successfully train Internet and legacy AEs/clients how to use Borrell Associates' local market data reports to affect advertising revenue. Responsibilities include but not limited to;

a) Understanding and communicating the features and benefits of Borrell Associates extensive local report product line

b) Ability to demonstrate our local data reports via presentations, one-on-one and in Webinar settings

c) Ability to create compelling sales PowerPoint presentations from local market reports

d) Training on existing and new Borrell Associate product lines

e) Ability to travel extensively; 30 to 35 weeks a year

2) Successfully train online and legacy sales people/clients how to position and sell local Interactive advertising products using methods defined by Borrell Associates. Responsibilities include but are not limited to;

a) Successfully educate and train local media sales people how to sell I advertising

b) Be able to ascertain a local Web sites advertising products and be able to help them bundle those ad services in a way that generate the most revenue for the client

c) Be able to guide clients as to the best practices as it relates to hiring staff, organizational structure, Interactive ad rates in order to maximize Interactive revenue

d) Be able to create compelling sales PowerPoint presentations from the local Interactive ad products being offered by local clients

3) Surpass sales training and local report sales quotas set forth by Borrell Associates. Responsibilities include but are not limited to;

a) When not traveling executing our Interactive sales training program in specific markets the successful candidate will be required to sell Borrell Associate services to prospects

b) Have the ability to sell Borrell Associate products over the phone

c) Have the skills and experience to put together high level proposals and present them to heads of corporations

d) Be a self-starter and find your own leads and close them on your own

e) Be open to internal training in order to improve your prospecting and close ratio on behalf of Borrell Associates

SPECIFIC SKILLS NEEDED:

  • At least 5 years professional sales experience successfully selling local Interactive advertising
  • Experience presenting in front of groups and over the phone via Webinars
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Strong client management and relationship building skills
  • Working knowledge of Internet technologies and features
  • Excellent online researching skills
  • Outstanding public speaking and  presentation skills
  • Creative and innovative thinking
  • Outgoing and self-motivated, with a positive attitude
  • Bachelors degree or higher
This is a contract position for three months with a three month renewal based on review. After six months, and upon review, the position converts to permanent F/T.  Monthly salary and sales commission.
