Christine DiStadio

Christine Di Stadio began her professional career in 1987 at C-TEC Corporation in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania working on advertising campaigns for the latest product at the time, the Motorola bag phone.

Christine joined the New York Times Broadcast Media Group at WNEP-TV (Scranton, PA) in March 1989 as Research Assistant. Soon after, she was promoted to Director of Marketing and was promoted again to Director of Marketing at WREG-TV (Memphis, TN) in March 1995. Christine spent 19 years with the New York Times Broadcast Media Group in a number of marketing, digital and last served as the Broadcast Group Senior Vice President of Marketing and New Media. The divestiture of the New York Times Broadcast Media Group in May 2007 prompted a move to Belo's KHOU-TV in the 10th ranked DMA. Christine serves as the Director of Digital Media overseeing a team of Digital Content Producers and works very closely with the Sales Department on Digital Revenue Development.

KHOU.com is recognized as a leader for digital revenue and high quality online journalism. The notable disaster coverage of Hurricane Ike generated 69 million page views on KHOU.com in September 2008 and received national recognition for multiplatform coverage of this disaster. In the past three years, KHOU.com received the Regional Edward R. Murrow Award, (2007, 2009, 2010), Texas AP Award (2010), Texas Headliners Foundation Award (2010). This past October, Christine won a Lone Star NATAS 2010 Emmy Award for digital coverage of the 2010 Texas GOP Debate.

Christine received her B.S. degree in marketing and business management from College Misericordia in 1987 and an M.B.A. in marketing from Wilkes University in 1989. She completed a leadership course at Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth in 2001 and attended an executive education series through Columbia University Graduate School of Business in 2002 and through Duke in 2003. Her childhood prepared her for a successful career after working for 21 years in the family restaurant business.
