Designed for a company that exhibits a phenomenal focus on driving results for local businesses through an interactive marketing program. First runner-up and second runner-up awards will be given. Six runner-up Awards of Recognition will be given.
This award is goes to a company that develops an innovative way to serve/improve its local community – not as a mere public service, but as a sustainable business venture that can continue serving and improving. First runner-up and second runner-up awards will be given.
Nominations will be screened and submission statements verified by Borrell Associates’ analysts. Finalists will be forwarded to a panel of independent local media experts comprised of three members of the Interactive Advertising Bureau’s (IAB) Local Committee and one senior analyst from Borrell Associates. A majority vote of the judges will constitute the selection of the principal award winner and the runners-up. All decisions by the judged will be deemed final.
Each of the three first-place recipients will each receive a plaque and framed certificate. The Innovator of the Year will receive a check for $1,000, and the recipients of the two business awards will each receive a $2,500 credit toward market research. The names of all recipients will be included in a press release issued nationwide and to local media in their individual markets.
The nomination period is from Jan. 1, 2010 through Jan. 22, 2010. All submissions must be received between those dates.

All awards will be announced at a luncheon on Feb. 9, 2010, at the Borrell Local Online Media Conference in New York City. Recipients do not have to be present to accept the award.
The 2010 Borrell Local Online Advertising Awards are open to all qualified nominees, including clients but excluding employees (and their relatives) of Borrell Associates. No liability is accepted for non-receipt of any nomination. The decisions of the judges are final and not open to challenge by nominators or nominees. Acceptance of an award authorizes Borrell Associates to publicize same at the 2010 Local Online Media Conference, on its Website and in its newsletters and other publications.
